Help out in the gardens, the greenhouse and with the animals on our fourteen acres in Livingston Manor, in exchange for time on the land and a real look at how a small farm runs.
What volunteers actually do
Tasks change with the season
Organic Gardening
Plant, weed and harvest seasonal produce, and pick up the soil health practices behind it.
Greenhouse Projects
Seedlings, propagation, watering systems and general greenhouse upkeep.
Farm Animal Care
Feeding and everyday care for the goats, chickens, sheep, pig and the rest of the herd.
Land & Campsite Stewardship
Trail work, fire pit upkeep, and keeping the camping sites in good shape for guests.
Guest Hospitality
Helping with check ins, local recommendations, and getting sites ready for campers.
Nursery & Conservation
Tree planting, pollinator habitat work, and the odd Christmas tree season rush.
When
A few hours or a full day
Volunteer time is arranged around the season, not a fixed schedule. Email ahead so we can plan around planting, harvest, or whatever the animals need that week.
No farming experience is required. Curiosity and a willingness to learn matter more than a resume.

Livingston Manor, New York, in Sullivan County, about two hours from New York City.
Is there somewhere to stay while I volunteer?
Ask us directly. Depending on the season we may be able to arrange camping on the property.
