Pondside Farm StayTent site, sleeps 4. Open tent site by the pond with a stone fire ring and room to hang a hammock. Shortest walk from the car. Frogs at night.

Secluded Hilltop Fern ForestTent site, sleeps 4. Wooded tent site up the hill among the ferns, with a picnic table and fire ring. The quietest of the three, and the driest in rain.

Teepee CampingCanvas tent, sleeps 2. A painted canvas teepee on the lawn with a toilet nearby. Sleeps two and stays warm and dry in the rain.

How many of you

Weekend stays are usually a minimum of 2 nights. Dates still up in the air is completely fine, just tell us roughly when in the notes.

Goat and sheep feeding

Half an hour in the paddock with a bucket, a host, and a very motivated audience. Goats, sheep and usually the turkeys inviting themselves along. Best with kids, and the single most requested thing on the farm.

Scheduled with your host on arrival, daylight hours only. Children stay with an adult at all times. Feed is provided by us, please do not bring your own.

Guided farm and greenhouse walk

A walk through the two hundred foot greenhouse, the outdoor garden and the apple orchard with whoever of us is around, and a straight answer to anything you want to ask about running the place.

Scheduled with your host, daylight hours only. Stay on the marked paths.

Late checkout, 3pm

Four extra hours instead of packing up at eleven. Worth it on a Sunday when you would rather have one more coffee by the fire ring than beat the traffic.

Subject to availability, confirmed by us within 24 hours of your stay. If the site is booked the night you leave we cannot offer it and you are refunded in full.

Early check in, midday

Three hours of your first day back. Pitch in daylight, have the afternoon instead of arriving at dusk.

Firewood bundle

Seasoned and dry, waiting at your site. New York asks you not to move firewood more than 50 miles, so buying it here is the right thing as well as the easy one.

Farm fresh eggs, when we have them

From the chickens you will meet. Supply depends entirely on the chickens, who do not take instruction.

If the hens have not obliged we refund this line in full, no need to ask.

Worth knowing before you come

WARNING TO VISITORS

Namaste Catskills is a working farm. Under New York law, there are inherent risks in taking part in activities on a working farm, and you are assuming those risks when you visit.

Those risks include, but are not limited to: live farm animals that may move suddenly, bite, kick, butt or startle; uneven, wet, muddy, sloping or rocky ground; ponds and other open water; farm machinery and vehicles; hand tools and fencing, including electric fencing; open fire at designated fire rings; wildlife, insects and ticks; and weather that changes quickly.

Animals are unpredictable, including animals that are normally calm and handled every day.

Uneven ground, natural obstacles and low light can cause slips, trips and falls.

This warning is posted at the point of sale as required by New York General Obligations Law section 18-303.

Your responsibilities as a visitor

Under New York law you have a responsibility to exercise reasonable care regarding the risks described above, and specifically:

To reasonably follow the posted wayfinding signs and to stay in the areas marked for visitors.

To reasonably follow the written information and posted rules of conduct we give you. If you need these communicated another way, tell us and we will.

Not to willfully remove, deface, alter or damage any signage, warning device or safety device on the property.

To supervise children at all times, and to keep children with an adult around any animal, any water and any fire.

You are not agreeing to anything by sending this. These become part of the booking terms when we confirm. Full cancellation terms, house rules and privacy.
